We are constantly looking for motivated new team members. Please check out below for the current openings and possibilities in our group. In our group you will be able to advance your knowledge about laser instrumentation, vacuum instrumentation, nonlinear optics, light-matter interaction, carrier and lattice dynamics in solids, modeling of related phenomena, various spectroscopy techniques and much more. We work closely together with other groups in the Department providing access to additional experimental methods and a wider knowledge base.
For our research projects we are continuously looking for talented and highly motivated Post-docs and Ph. D. students to join our team. Prerequisites are a high level of curiosity to experimentally study fastest processes in nature as well as a commitment to excellence. The capability of working in a team is of cardinal importance. Since English is the working language in our group, we expect excellent English language skills. German language skills are not mandatory. We invite applications from students with degrees in physics, material science, chemistry or related fields.
Post-doctoral applicants should send their letter of motivation, resume, research summary and up to 3 recommendation letters.
Ph. D. candidates are encouraged to inquire about open research projects and send their resume and grades.
If you are interested in joining our research group, please reach out to Michael.
There is always the possibility to perform master and bachelor thesis work in our group. Students from the local Berlin and Potsdam universities are welcome to reach out to us to inquire for current possibilities. As a master or bachelor student you will join our international team and contribute to a specific research project within our group. Topics will be determined together with you depending on your specific interests and study background. We can offer thesis projects that can equally fit into typical Chemistry and Physics curricula.
Also students and interns interested supporting us in our research work are welcome to apply.
If you are interested in visiting our laboratory, discuss available topics and meet our team, please send your CV to Michael.
